Classics Corner

In our live performances, we usually include a light classic - it can be sung, or instrumental.
Here are some videos we made during the Covid restrictions.

The videos were made in a variety of ways.
When we could use a garden, it was possible to assemble two or three people together.
For a start, everything had to be done separately, and put together using the internet and a lot of ingenuity.

Saint-Saëns: Softly Awakes my Heart
sung by Lynne Heap in Wimbledon,
with Michael Hodges in Tooting.
The Beautiful Blue Danube by Johann Strauss II,
played by Michael Hodges somewhere near
the beautiful blue-ish Wandle.
The ladies, in their gardens, sing
An English Country Garden by Percy Grainger,
arranged by our own Paul Sadler.
The most truly socially-distant of recordings:
Katie singing in Wimbledon
and Konan at the piano in Malaysia
Brahms' Intermezzo in A, op 118 no 2
played by Giles Kennedy in a concert
at Sacred Heart church, Wimbledon.
Gershwin: Summertime.
Alice Thacker recorded her voice and her auto-harp separately.
